How not to record a podcast

If only i had listened to those who came before me.

let me explain, I needed to create either a blog or a podcast for my cis212-tp104 assignment. a blog would have been too easy, I’ve done it before, and will no doubt start a new one again, so i thought that making it harder on myself would be the way to go. something, something, new experiences and all of that jazz. sounds great right?

no. this was not the case. I recorded three different versions of what I envisioned. it was fun working with my friends. we talked about all kinds of life relevant things, dating as an adult, loss of a family member, and video games. cool?

the problem came in post production. I had only planned up to the point of editing. I needed to bleep out spoilers, expletives, and silence. I thought I was well versed in the use of clip champ, or could even go to my band camp account to get the job done. I have never been so quickly and painfully humbled in all of my forty nine years. creating new content on either application is relatively easy, but importing from a simple voice recording add-on, not so much. i could have opened either and used them from the beginning, i could have put a little research into what would work best before jumping in, i also could have taken the advice my speech professor had given on what to use earlier in the year. nah, i knew what i was wanting.
